I used to search for instructions only when something went wrong. Now I prefer to check the documentation before using an unfamiliar feature or troubleshooting an unexpected behaviour.
The Whirlpool documentation available through whirlpool.manymanuals.com is a useful starting point when I need to find information for a particular model. I pay attention to programme descriptions, installation requirements, cleaning procedures, and maintenance recommendations. Model identification matters because controls and features can differ even between appliances from the same manufacturer.
I have also become more consistent about basic care. I clean accessible filters when the instructions recommend it, avoid unsuitable cleaning products, and check that ventilation openings are not blocked. If an appliance develops an electrical fault, leaks internally, or shows signs of a serious mechanical problem, I leave the repair to a qualified technician.
